My solution when i built our garage was trusses on 19 3 center the canadian std and 5 8 osb.
1 2 inch osb for roof.
If you get 45 or more pounds of pull out resistance that s considered acceptable for most applications.
Only once in many years of construction did i see someone pay for 5 8 osb on a roof presumably to prevent any slight sagging years down the road.

Half inch osb is suitable for rafter spacings up to 24 inches whether or not the edges are supported.
7 16 is adequate but you dont want to have to many people or shingles in one spot.
This way no worrying about grabbing scraps to fill in small spots and not having the correct thickness.
Sheets must have a 1 8 inch expansion gap between them and should be secured to the rafters.
Features span rated sheathing 32 16 roof floor on center spacing exposure 1 rated for limited exposure exterior glue for general construction sized for spacing panel width and length may vary up to 1 8 to aid with.
Rediculous except for certain reasons on floors which has nothing to do with this question or 1 2 inch thick osb osb is made up of various chips of wood from different species of trees in a combination that will meet the wwpa structural specs.
Roof leaks of course but also improper attic ventilation can cause condensation in the roof deck that can cause the osb to weaken.
30 years on it s working out fine.
Osb roof decking thickness 7 16 1 2 or 5 8 if were using osb we get 9 16 we dont worry about getting both 7 16 and 9 16 for walls then the roof we just get all of the same.

Around here southern mn the cities you can drive through the neighborhoods with cheaper houses the ones with trusses on 24 centers and 1 2 or 7 16 sheeting and most many will have sagged roofs.
3 4 is unheard of and i d consider it absurdly wasteful.
Here in snow country 1 2 osb is standard with 7 16 being common for walls.
3 8 is insane walking truss to truss.
